STANDING IN THE GAP FOR AMERICA ON HER 250TH ANNIVERSARY

Day 7 (Saturday, 10/3/26) -- Keep hope alive
"And take the helmet of salvation..." (Ephesians 6:17a).
"But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love,
and as a helmet the hope of salvation"(1 Thessalonians 5:8).
Many people, including believers, are living with a sense of hopelessness. The Apostle Paul, in Ephesians 6:17, tells us to put on the helmet of salvation. Believers know that Jesus is in our lives. Paul is not talking about "salvation". In 1 Thessalonians 5:8, he explains that he is speaking of hope. The helmet of the hope of our salvation guards our spiritual minds, like the soldier's helmet guarded his physical head. Hope will guard your mind and guide your thoughts. We are inundated with challenges every day. Keep hope alive and watch God meet each challenge with a renewed hope. As we pray toward and prepare for the fall elections and beyond, do not lose hope. Our God is omnipotent. He has all the power!
Prayer: "Father, help me to keep hope alive. As the enemy works to keep us discouraged and in despair, You have commanded us to guard our spiritual minds, keep our eyes on Jesus, and renew our hope day by day. Help me to add hope to truth, righteousness, witnessing, and faith. Help me to put on Your full armor so that I can withstand evil and having done all, to stand!
