STANDING IN THE GAP FOR AMERICA ON HER 250TH ANNIVERSARY

Day 5 (Thursday, 10/1/26) -- Keep your eyes on the prize

"So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved" (Acts 2:46-47).

Part of our protection (Eph. 6:15) is to put on the shoes of the preparation of the gospel of peace. To shield ourselves from the attacks of the enemy, we need to be telling people about Jesus, enrolling people in Bible study groups, and inviting people to worship with the church.

Acts 2:46-47 tells us how to grow the church. Unifying fellowship, praising God, and having favor with your community will cause the Lord, God, to add to His church daily. The quickest way to heal polarization in America is to bring more people into the Kingdom and the Church. Helping people line up behind a unified Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit, will guide us to become unified. Stay close to Jesus and guide others to be close to Him.

Prayer: "Jesus, help us keep our eyes on the prize of people being saved. Guide us to preserve our witness, not damage it. Keep alive in us the need to share our faith and see people come to You. Cause us to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but principalities and powers of darkness. I pray in Your name."
